First things first, those who are not aware, Lord Satyanarayana is the other name for the Hindu deity Lord Vishnu. In almost all parts of the nation, this ritualistic prayer is acknowledged. Thus, he straight away headed to the Brahman and asked him, what could free you? The Brahman further elaborated that, “I am basically old and poor. So, I want a way to free from poverty.” Upon hearing his afflict, the Narada headed to the Lord Vishnu and asked for a solution. Something that could erase the miseries of humans on this planet.
In response, the Lord himself stated that worshipping Lord Satyanarayana will lead him to the ultimate way of happiness. The Brahman did that and certainly freed from poverty. This has been spread across the nation and people gradually adopted it.

Like every other Puja, this one also begins with a prayer to Lord Ganesha. Later, the Navagraha Puja is conducted to offer the prayers for all the nine celestial objects in our universe. Upon the completion of worshipping the nine planets, the Satyanarayana Puja begins.
